About Us

We are a Sabre only fencing club Established in August 2022, Operating in the Hale and Altrincham area. Premier Sabre Academy was started and managed by Commonwealth Gold Medallist Stuart Marshall.

Coach Stuart Marshall has been creating Fencers for the British fencing team at various levels for the last 10 years. From 2019 to 2022 Coach Stuart was coaching in San Jose, California , setting up and developing a sabre program that started with 10 fencers, leaving them with 7 US Nationals medals and a population of around 50 sabre fencers.

The methods we use at Premier Sabre Academy are what make us so unique, tried and tested with amazing results. We make fencing fun and Interactive whilst promoting core values of hard work, sportsmanship, respect and discipline. Each and everyone of our athletes are important to us as we monitor their journey from the very beginning to when It is time to move on.

Our Aims and Objectives

To Promote the sport of fencing in the Trafford area for British Fencing, we will do this by producing competitive fencers on the local, regional, national, and international levels.
To provide high-quality coaching and bouting opportunities to fencers of all abilities, ages, and skill levels.
To make Fencing an accessible sport for all, young and old, from all backgrounds within and beyond the Cheshire area.
To develop athletic and mental skills in a healthy and safe environment with the aim of using the discipline involved in training and achieving fencing goals to make our athletes successful in the academic, business, and professional worlds.
